
On every trip to LA, I make a stop at Joan’s on Third. It’s basically a deli on steroids….the greatest BIG salads, awesome sandwiches, spreads, cheeses, baked goods, prepared foods….you get the idea.
Usually I go for lunch, but this morning I thought I’d check out their breakfast. It was quite the internal debate between cinnamon buns or eggs, but the New York Sandwich ultimately prevailed. Melted cheese, scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, sandwiched between two slices of buttery toasted country bread. The eggs were more like an omelette than scrambled, all in one rectangular shape, so it fit on the bread perfectly and pieces of egg weren’t falling out…very compact. OMG it’s good…
Picked up a few chocolate-caramel-covered homemade marshmallows too….
