Broiled Spicy Tofu

Drain the tofu. Line a colander with paper towels and place tofu on top. Cover the tofu with more paper towels and place something heavy on top, like a small skillet or heavy plate. Allow the tofu to sit at least 30 minutes. Remove and slice into 1/2-inch-thick pieces.

In a shallow baking dish, combine the BBQ sauce, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Add the tofu and toss to cover in sauce. Let marinate in the refrigerator at least 1 hour.

Take the tofu out of the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking.

Preheat the broiler. Place the tofu in a broiler-proof pan and place under the broiler for about 7 minutes, until the tofu is heated through and beginning to brown on the top.
